Full-Day Tuition Preschool

Enroll and register online on our district's site

Enrollments are on a first-come, first-served basis. If all classrooms are full, your child will be added to our waiting list. Wait list are created for the current year only and do not carry over from year to year.

Immunizations must be current and approved by the school nurse 3 days prior to children attending. 

The Tuition Preschool is a self-sustaining program and financially independent of the Park Hill School District. We collect tuition fees for all costs involved in the program and building maintenance costs related to the Full-Day Tuition Preschool program.

Registration Fee

There is a non-refundable registration fee for each session per student due at the time of the application being accepted and approved. 

2024-2025 Rates

• Full-time (5 days per week): $980 monthly

*There will be no discounts or prorated amounts for absences, holidays, district shutdowns, or state of emergency issued by the mayor.

Students who are already 3 or will turn 4 after July 31st, will be placed in the mixed-age classrooms. Children must be 3 years old and independently toilet trained.

Our mixed-age classrooms focus on early learning standards and building social-emotional skills.

Students will learn or expand on fine motor skills such using scissors to cut out simple shapes, identify some letters, learn letter sounds, count to 10, identify shapes and colors, and draw simple shapes. More importantly though, students will learn how to establish positive relationships with  peers and learn how to identify and cope with all the emotions that come with being 3 and 4 years old. This is a critical time for children to learn how to collaborate with others and build important social skills that will be lifelong.

Pre-K classrooms are available for students who will be entering kindergarten the following school year. Students are provided the same curriculum that is used in the mixed age classrooms, with a focus on kindergarten readiness. Children must be independently toilet trained.

The Gerner Center's Tuition Pre-K classrooms have a strong focus on academics and kindergarten readiness skills. There also continues to be an emphasis on social skills building and learning how to collaborate with their peers through the Project Based Learning approach. Teachers follow the Missouri Early Learning Standards and implement the Creative Curriculum Framework.

No, students do NOT have to live in the Park Hill School District to attend the Full-Day Tuition Preschool program. Only students participating in the 1/2 day programs or the Early Childhood Special Education programs must live in district.

No, parents are responsible for transportation. Parents will escort students into the building to drop off and pick up their student each day.

Gerner Tuition Preschool hours are as follows:
Our program will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m.

As a reminder, children are only able to attend up to 10 hours per day, as stated in our Parent Handbook, which is viewable on the district website.
