Coordinator of Early Education Programs

Dr. Rachel Ward serves as the Coordinator of Early Education Programs at Gerner Family Early Education Center. In this role, Dr. Ward oversees and maintains aspects of all programming offered at Gerner as well as supports the climate and culture of the learning environment like a building principal.

She was previously an assistant principal at two elementary schools in the Park Hill School District for 8 years before coming to Gerner. She loves to support the learning processes for all programs at Gerner and be a part of the development of students' skills and unique abilities each year.

Family is very important to Dr. Ward. She loves to explore all that Kansas City can offer, go on outdoor adventures, do crafts and art projects with her daughter, and stay active.
